NATIONAL DISABILITY BOWLS ENGLAND COMPETITION

We had a very successful day on 6th June when they hosted a national Disability Bowls England Visually Impaired Pairs Competition.  Bowlers came from as far afield as Cornwall, Gateshead and Rochester. Everyone enjoyed the day and the club hopes this will lead to further events being held at their green for members of DBE.  Some of the bowlers competed for England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia and are hopeful for selection in 2022 for the next games in Birmingham. On 7th August the club will once again be hosting the hearing impaired competition between clubs from across the south of England.

LADIES DAY

Members enjoyed a great afternoons bowling in beautiful sunshine.  It was lovely to have so many of our new bowlers taking part.  The game was followed by an excellent BBQ and thanks go to Alan, Fred and Roger who worked so hard cooking in such hot conditions

OPEN DAY

We had a very sunny and successful Open Day on 26th June with a steady stream of visitors aged 6 to 60 years. We look forward to welcoming some of them as members.
